Thank you for giving your time to assist MCLA! Serving as a volunteer provides you with an opportunity to meet interested students and alumni, and to promote the College. Whether you can give 1 or 100 hours, we appreciate all that you do to help us!

Short-Term Volunteer Opportunities

New Student Orientation & Welcome Week
Serve as an alumni volunteer at Orientation and connect with incoming students. Opportunities include volunteering with the Helping-Hands Move Crew or attending Orientation Welcome Receptions for Families. (June-September)

Days of Service
For the last 20 years, MCLA and the City of North Adams have come together to hold College and Community Day of Service. Students, alumni, and local citizens donate time and energy to clean and care for our area. Join us locally or form your own Day of Service project in your region. (Fall and Spring)

Event Host
Do you love entertaining? As an event host, you will work directly with the alumni staff to plan an event and serve as the main host. Opening your home or business for an alumni event allows us to bring our alumni to new and exciting venues!  

Write Notes to Current Students 

Do you have an hour to spare? Spend some time writing notes to incoming MCLA first-year students. The Alumni Office will provide note cards and pre-addressed envelopes, plus stamps if you need them.
